Thanks for Everything, Luke!
NABC extends a warm thank you to former Project Manager Luke Woodward as he moves on to his next adventure. Luke Woodward began his journey with NABC nearly a decade ago. Early on in his tenure, Luke was featured in this Cool Jobs write-up in the Seattle Times. Not long after, he and his wife Sarah bought the Grange Café, remodeled, and revived the menu with guidance from chef and friend Matt Dillon. The Grange Café became just The Grange and opened in July of 2018.
This is in addition to running their pastured pork, tree fruits, vegetables, herbs, and flower operation, Hearth Farm.
Whilst helping run his farm and restaurant, Jack of all Trades Luke accomplished some impressive feats at NABC in the following years. From his help getting the Hmong Farmers Cooperative started and thriving during the height of COVID lockdowns, to his contributions to a more sustainable Horseneck Farm, to his general mastery of helping small to mid-sized farms in our region get access to capital, scale-up, and meaningfully improve their on-farm infrastructure, Luke excelled at his role as Project Manager.
NABC was lucky to have Luke on staff as long as we did and we wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors, which include managing The Grange- which you can read more about here.
